Description: After the boss fight with Reno and Rude, Rude attacks Tifa in order to get to the control panel. Cloud tries to stop Rude, but runs to Tifa’s side when she calls out for him.

Description: Tifa goes after Cloud and the rest of Avalanche up on the pillar in the fight to save Sector 7 from the Turks collapsing the plate. Just as she reaches him, Reno tries to shoot the stairs from underneath her, but Cloud is there to rescue her.

Description: Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith are passing through the train graveyard trying to make it back to Sector 7 to stop the Turks. At one point, they are attacked by Ghoul. Cloud grabs Tifa and runs, protecting her with everything he has.

Scene: Cloud falls after fight with Airbuster
Description: Golden Trio is confronted by President Shinra in the Sector 5 reactor. After a fight with the airbuster, Cloud is thrown onto a ledge. As he’s about to fall, Tifa tries to get to him but can’t. Barret carries her to safety as Cloud falls seemingly to his demise.

Description: After Avalanche have a conversation about the next mission, Tifa is upset. Cloud tries to comfort her, and she mentions to him that she feels trapped. This is a recall to what she says on the water tower but at the time, he doesn’t remember.

Scene: Cloud and Tifa have a conversation in Tifa’s bedroom in a special scene
Description: After completing all of the sidequests in Sector 7, a special scene unlocks. Marle tells Cloud Tifa needs a real friend, one that will listen to her needs. Cloud and Tifa then have an intimate conversation in her bedroom about the past, and making plans about celebrating their reunion in the future.

Description: Jessie asks Cloud if he and Tifa are close. Cloud remembers them when they were eight and nine years old in Nibelheim.

Scene: Tifa asks Cloud what he’s been doing since he left Nibelheim
Description: Cloud has a headache while discussing the Buster sword. Tifa is concerned, then asks where he’s been since Nibelheim. They decide to catch up, and Biggs stop Wedge from joining because he would be a “third wheel”.
