The team pays a visit to Tifa, who’s still looking after Cloud. While they’re there, activity in the Lifestream causes a massive earthquake to strike Mideel. Amid the chaos, Cloud and Tifa tumble into the depths of the Lifestream.
When she comes to, Tifa finds herself inside Cloud’s psycho-spritual world. As he desperately tries to regain himself, Cloud’s consciousness comes into contact with Tifa, and she resolves to help him face the truth behind his past. They delve into his memories from five years ago, the promise they made at the water tower, and the reason Cloud decided to become a SOLDIER.
Having regained some hold over himself with Tifa’s help, Cloud now confronts what truly happened five years ago. It turns out Cloud was in Nibelheim during those tragic events-though only as a general infantryman. Nonetheless, he kept his promise to Tifa nad managed to defeat Sephiroth.
Having finally uncovered the truth, the two reunite in the true sense of the word, then head back to the real world where their friends await them.”
